Abstract:It's an important tradition of Chinese literary creation for its writers to be concerned about Chinese politics and their works to influence it. The initiative taken by Chinese literature to converge with Chinese political movements happened to make up the cultural context for the natural survival of the 20th Chinese political novels. The anxiety about political powers, the deconstruction of grand narratives and the alienation from mainstream consciousness constitute the three main modalities for the 20th century Chinese literature to write about Chinese politics or Chinese political culture.
