Abstract:D. H. Lawrence has inherited from tradition and used dialect a lot in his various literary creations such as novels, plays and poems. His dialect helps distinguish people, serve as a marker of class, of status and of educational attainments, introduce scene and background and even act as a type of disguise. he carries forward the tradition and lets his dialect create effects beyond what was used before him. Used in contrast with standard English his dialect helps express his great male-female philosophic ideology, his appreciation of original human sexual love being done by means of dialect too.
