Abstract:Based on the panel data of advanced manufacturing and producer services in 30 provincial-level administrative regions in China from 2006 to 2020, the coupling coordination model is used to measure the integrated level of advanced manufacturing and producer services. The benchmark panel model and spatial panel model are used to explore the convergence characteristics of the integration of advanced manufacturing and producer services at provincial level. The research finds that the integration of advanced manufacturing and producer services in China presents the distribution of high in the east and low in the west. The convergence of advanced manufacturing and producer services in China does not show α convergence, and the gaps between the integration and development of advanced manufacturing and producer services between regions are increasing. The absolute β convergence is significant in China and the central and western regions, but there is no absolute β convergence in the eastern region, while there is conditional β convergence in all regions. The influences of various control variables on the convergence and convergence speed of advanced manufacturing and producer services in different regions are quite different.
