The element composition and alloying mechanism of ultra-high-strength Al-Zn-Mg-Cu alloy were summarized, and the advanced preparation technology and heat treatment technology of ultra-high-strength Al-Zn-Mg-Cu alloy were introduced. The preparation principle and heat treatment strengthening and toughening mechanism of ultra-high-strength Al-Zn-Mg-Cu alloy were described, and the development trend and outlook of ultra-high-strength Al-Zn-Mg-Cu alloy with high Zn content were prospected. It was expected to provide a theoretical reference for the sustainable development of the ultra-high-strength Al-Zn-Mg-Cu alloy industry.
