He held that the plane design should be simple and intuitive to convey the content accurately, which should be geared to the needs of the public with gentleness, humor and optimism, rather than a certain class. Collage technique, montage, a simplified technique were commonly adopted by Paul Rand as the design technique of expression which was developed into the systematic modernistic style with national characteristics.
