Abstract:Picasso firstly used collage technique to engage in artistic creation at the beginning of 20th century. As a result, collage technique style started to spread from the west to all over the world and has become one of the most important patterns of manifestation in modern print advertisement design. Picasso’s collage technique influenced the modern print advertisement design in two aspects: different elements and materials were composed into the strange format to change the tradition of graphic design and to use existing elements in daily life to create new works, by which the sense of strangeness and novelty were brought to the audience in diversified formats; the unification and harmony of elements were maintained in the drastic style change, i.e. , the harmonious unification was still accomplished in the picture even it was composed of different elements with different styles.
