The art works of China paper-cut art master L Shengzhong and western paper-cut artist Matisse have many similarities while possess their own unique artistic styles. L Shengzhong’s paper-cut art is rooted in the ancient and profound oriental folk art and demonstrates the typical national characteristics. The iconic image is “little red man”with symbolic significance of “Spiritism”.
