Abstract:Various musical elements are fused together by Niklaus Troxler in the poster design. His ingenious use of figure-ground comp, line changes, simplified pen painting of freehand brushwork and color composition co-exist in art. A variation of the graphics performance is employed to express the freedom of jazz music. The art feature of jazz poster design illustrates the mixing of “shape” and “tone”. His posters present unique visual effects and aesthetic implications.
