Based on the history of Sustainable Design, the context of the theory of Sustainable Design is analyzed according to the keywords of “High/Low-Tec”, “Local Culture” and “Development”. The idea is put forward that significance of Sustainable Design to China’s industrial design is only refrained in theoretical perspective rather than praxis.
