Traditional Chinese brush stroke techniques have been used in clothing design since ancient times, especially in the fabric patterns and styles. However, in contemporary clothing design, the application of traditional Chinese painting techniques has largely been neglected. With more and more researches and discoveries of our national culture and arts, a series of questions are worth the attention and exploration for designers and art educators on how we could use Chinese brush strokes in the art and clothing design in order to enrich the life of art design.
