Abstract::In order to solve the problem of environmental pollution caused by the direct discharge of printing and dyeing wastewater, PVA/PHEMA hydrogel filtration membrane was prepared to intercept organic waste in printing and dyeing wastewater. Polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) gel film was used as the dye treatment matrix, and a polyhydroxyethyl methacrylate (PHEMA) network was added to enhance the absorption of dye components. At the same time, fumed silica was added to the polymerization and etched with hydrofluoric acid to increase the water flux of the membrane. The rejection rates of the PVA/PHEMA composite hydrogel membrane for methylene blue and Congo red dye solutions were 89.7% and 93.1%, respectively, and the filtration flux reached 5.8 and 10.7 L/(m2·h), showing good dyes retention effect.
