Abstract:Modified atmosphere packaging (MAP) technology can keep fresh fruits and vegetables with high quality and prolong its shelf life by inhibiting its respiration and reproduction of pathogenic microorganisms. The main factors which influence the effect of MAP include respiration of fruits and vegetables, storage temperature, gas ratio and packaging materials. Modified atmosphere technology has extensive application prospect in fruits and vegetables preservation, and proposes to establish the optimal fruit respiratory rate prediction model to guide the practical production,develop new environmental protection and green materials for fruits and vegetables packaging, meanwhile combine with other preservation technology to obtain the comprehensive preservation effect.
