Based on the cataloging rules for the reference literature of Journal of Hunan University of Technology, summarized the common problems in reference literatures of the journal manuscript. The main problems existed in three aspects：insufficient description items, incorrect bibliographic format and wrong document titles. Aiming at these problems, proposed the corresponding method of standardization management.
