Analyzes the features of numerical approximation course and the problems in the teaching. From the aspects of good first class to stimulate students′ curiosity, setting reasonable questions to guide students to think and using Matlab mathematical software to solve practical problems etc., gives some ideas on the course reforming and practice to enhance students' interest on the course and on the theoretical study, and achieves the purpose of course teaching.
