The association between human health risk and characteristics of aerosol particulate matter is firstly discussed. Then the concept of exposure and the applicability of all kinds of methods in aerosol particulate exposure assessment are elaborated according to its classification. Finally, the methodology of exposure assessment on aerosol particulate in China is proposed.
