Blockchain has the characteristics of data tamper proof and traceability. Intelligent packaging has the advantages of data collection and information interaction. Blockchain can provide new technologies for the further development and application of intelligent packaging, while intelligent packaging can broaden the application field of blockchain. The integration of blockchain and intelligent packaging will lead to a new round of changes in the industrial model of intelligent packaging. Based on the in-depth analysis of blockchain development stage, classification, characteristics, as well as intelligent packaging function, role, development status and problems, this paper tries to explore the integration point, integration route and integration mode between the blockchain and intelligent packaging, which will provide theoretical guidance for the development of intelligent packaging industry.
