The restrictions of context on news translation for global communication are analyzed from three aspects of linguistic context, situational context and cultural context through concrete examples, which concludes that the source context determines the content of translation while the target context determines its style. Translators should accurately grasp the contextual factors in news translation for global communication, and ensure the readability, acceptability and communication of news translation.
