After over 60 years of development, China's colleges and universities have formed their own characteristics in the management system; such management features have played an important role in promoting the development of higher education in China. However, due to China's political, economic, historical and traditional culture, there still exist many problems in college management, which restricts the leapfrog development of China's higher education. Therefore we must adhere to the theoretical system of socialism with Chinese characteristics, enhance the rule of law ability of Party committees of colleges and universities, and actively promote the construction of university charter, strive to foster the rule of law culture of modern university, so as to establish a legal system with Chinese characteristics in colleges and universities.
