Chu He's long novel of Melia Azedarach, who against the previous novel narrative modes of state-owned enterprises reform, taking perspective of ordinary workers instead of leadership of state-owned enterprise reform broadly, shows the good and complicated humanity in society transition period through grand narrative theme of reform; as well as reveals factory culture, whose spirit strength were always ignored by reform, on workers' positive role by the warmth and suffering from bottom life workers. This novel not only opens a new trend for reform novels, but also shows writers' attitude to participate actively in social and historical process.
