This paper first states the basic concept of meta-cognition and meta-cognition strategies, then discusses the function of meta-cognition, the development of the meta-cognition awareness and the application of the meta-cognition strategies in second language acquisition; at last it concludes that the proper use of meta-cognition strategies in foreign language teaching can improve the efficiency of second language acquisition.
