After analyzing Sometimes a Great Notion by Ken Kesey, the author is found to have tried to reveal the absurd existence of human beings by descriptions of uncanny images, well-woven time and space, overreaching characters and unreasonable activities and at the same time it is indicated that any quest would inevitably be absurd and futile in such an irrational and alienated world.
